The Obanijoda Caregiver Foundation recently organized a powerful community awareness campaign focused on ending sexual abuse and domestic violence. The event brought together women, youths, caregivers, and community members, united with one clear message: abuse must stop, and survivors deserve to be heard, protected, and supported. Held within the community, the awareness walk and sensitization program featured participants holding bold placards with messages such as “Say No to Domestic Violence,” “Do Not Be Gagged, Speak Out,” “Sexual Abuse Awareness,” and “Operation K’She Abuse.” These messages served as strong reminders that silence enables abuse, while awareness empowers change. Raising Voices, Breaking Silence The foundation used this platform to educate community members on the different forms of sexual abuse and domestic violence, their warning signs, and the importance of speaking up. Survivors were encouraged to seek help without fear or shame, while caregivers and families were reminded of their responsibility to protect the vulnerable, especially women and children. Community Engagement and Advocacy Participants actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and showed solidarity with survivors. The presence of caregivers and volunteers wearing the foundation’s branded shirts reinforced Obanijoda Caregiver Foundation’s commitment to grassroots advocacy and community-driven change. A Call to Action The event emphasized that combating sexual abuse and domestic violence requires collective effort—from individuals, families, community leaders, and institutions. Obanijoda Caregiver Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to continuous advocacy, education, and support services aimed at creating safer communities. Moving Forward As the foundation continues its mission, it calls on everyone to speak up, stand up, and take action against abuse in all its forms. Together, we can build a society where dignity, safety, and respect are guaranteed for all. Obanijoda Caregiver Foundation remains committed to protecting lives, restoring hope, and empowering communities—one voice at a time.
